Dr. John Bourgeois holds a Degree from Tulane University and has accomplished residency training in two specialties.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow in the American College of OBGYN and the American College of Physicians.  Prior to opening this practice he was a full-time facility member at the University of Virginia for many years.  In addition to general OBGYN work, he did extensive work for women with problem pregnancies, and taught thousands of medical students and hundreds of residents.  Dr. Bourgeois now anticipates with enthusiasm a less diverse practice with opportunities to work individually with gynecology patients.  Dr. Bourgeois is associated with AMC for hospitalizations and surgery.  

Carman Carlton has extensive experience in office management and is in charge of all scheduling, record maintenance and insurance negotiation.  Carmon also provides clinical assistance during office visits.
